This was essentially the first painting I did after quite some years.
2025 I bought two canvasses and this basically turned out to be a improved version of something I made roughly 15 years ago.
Finished in 2025. This one ended up in the living room of my parents. And as stupid as it may sound, I think that’s awesome.
Following quite some photographers online I often see photos of the under-water-world and that is fascinating. Everything looks different, colours, shapes. This is the result of painting a loooooot of blue lines.
Finished in 2026. I found my very old box of soft pastel pencils I once got from my parents as a birthday present I believe. Pastels pencils are very nice to blend colours and this sunset has such an amazing amount of colours that this was the perfect medium to try this.

This was actually even before ‘Colourfull Skies’ I found the pastel pencils and just wanted to try something. I wasn’t too happy about the fact that the spray I used to ‘lock/protect’ it, actually caused half of the details to just disappear. So I’m not too thrilled about this one, but it deserves a spot here nevertheless.
